Travel and Accommodation

Getting to Oslo

Oslo is served by 3 airports. Gardermoen being the main airport of Oslo along with Torp and Rygge. Norway is served by BA, SAS, Norweigan air and Ryanair. Once in landed, there is a bullet train (Gardermoen only)/flybussen (coach) connection to Oslo City Centre. Ensure any tickets are retained as Norway Cup will reimburse these costs.

You can then travel to Ekeberg by getting the tram outside the coach/train station getting the 17 or 19 towards Ljarbu. The tram will stop at SportsPlassen which will take up a (moderate ish) hill to Branjfell which is the base for Norway Cup Referees. Once again we will be staying next to Branfjellskolen in the KFUMHallen.

Accommodation

Staying at KFUM in a large Handball arena, we sleep on campbeds/camping mattresses so ensure you bring a pillow and sleeping bag. You may also wish to bring an airbed to add extra comfort.

Showers are on site and we will have our own showering facility.

Being in a shared facility and infrequently going in and out of the hall, it is well advised to leave large valuables at home such as iPad/Laptop etc unless you have facility to secure them.

Food

Every day, Bread, Jam, Cheese, water milk, ham, salami, pate things are available all day. You might want to stock up at the local supermarket of fruit, chocolate, crisps to supplement the Norway Cup diet. Every evening there is a meal provided which on experience can extend from damn good to just damn. There is a pizza takeaway down the road which is very nice for little change of £15-20.
