What to bring...

So the list of what is essential to pack:

First of all, Norway weather is more unpredictable than the UK. I guarantee you will not see rain like it does in Norway. When its Sunny and Hot, its fantastic weather like being in the Med!

Because of the unpredictability, its advisable to bring both wet and summer kits/clothes with you.

Kits – a variety of kits. Coloured kits are advised too if you have them. 3/4 full kits are good idea!

Rain Jacket

Referee equipment (watch/cards/coin/whistle etc)

Flags

Trainers and Boots (a lot of games tend to be on astro and grass)

FlipFlops

Skins if you have them

Blister plasters

Anti Insect repellent

Any medication

Sleeping Bag

Pillow

Currency

E111 (available from post office)

Passport(!)

Padlock to lock valuables away

Key for said padlock(!)

Currency

Norweigan use Krone and Norway is expensive so be sensible. If it helps, I take around £250 and find that’s comfortable for the week remembering you get paid on the Friday for your football. Best places to get currency are: Post Office, Tesco or Thomas Cook as they are commission free.

Kroner is a rare currency so ensure you pre-order. Also, ensure its Norweigan Kroner as Denmark and Sweden have their version too.

The interest rate fluctuates greatly. As a general rule of thumb, 10kr is £1.

If you have a Nationwide FlexPlus account you can use your card commission free

Don’t forget Travel Insurance – don’t need anything special but ensure you have it as at £5-7 a pint of beer, you can imagine healthcare is very expensive!
